RD Tea Limited has been in the tea plantation and manufacturing business for 35 years. Their pursuit of quality along with expertise and experience enables them to produce fine CTC tea that is very highly rated at the auction centre and is frequently bid for by the top buyers.
A Brief History
The company was founded by Late Kishorilal Dhandhania, after having acquired The Hansqua Tea Estate in the Terai regions from the Duncans. In the years to come, the plantation expanded further by adding Hansqua 2 a young plantation after acquiring freehold land in Bidhannagar and Sonapur. An independent manufacturing facility under the BLF segment with ‘RD’ mark was also set up in Bidhannagar (a hub of small tea growers).
In 2016, under our Managing Director Sushil Dhandhania, further expansion resulted in the creation of a new brand – Kishoribagh, along with the set up of a state of the art manufacturing unit adjacent to the BLF unit, with production capacity of more than 2 million kilograms.
In 2018, the old factory for BLF segment under ‘RD’ mark was completely revamped and modernized with addition of new machines.

Manufacturing Facility
Our factories are equipped with state of the art technology and machineries and the units are under CCTV surveillance and equipped with the latest vacuum cleaning machinery to keep the factory dust & moisture free. We frequently carry out random checks and inspections to ensure every gram of tea produced is monitored and adheres to our brands quality and standard.
Even during the lean periods of tea production, our factory has the ability to produce the finest tea.
Quality Assurance
The entire tea production flow at our facilities are fully mechanized and adheres and complies to the ‘TrustTea’ Code Of India – which encompasses all aspects of tea production and seeks to embrace sustainability principles to boost productivity and maintain safety standards to improve quality compliance.
